My dream of becoming an Artistic Director of a professional theatre company came true in January, 2019 when the Board of Directors of Shakespeare in the Ruins (SIR) offered me the position to lead Manitoba’s leading Classical theatre.

SIR has a unique and highly dynamic, physical way of approaching the Bard: performing Shakespeare outdoors, in the ruins of the legendary St Norbert Monastery in promenade style, with the actors guiding the audience through different locations at the park.

The company was also responsible for kick-starting my career, hiring me straight out of university, back in 2007, to play Bassanio in their acclaimed production of The Merchant of Venice.

Below are some more pictures of the site, and some HAMLET related posts - my directorial debut with the company! MORE info on SIR can be found on the website shakespeareintheruins.com !
